Heavenly Father, you are the Master General who leads His people into victorious battles. Father equip us for action. May we walk in confidence for your command, “Do not be afraid,” for you are with us. Lord, today we remember the men and women who have gone before us granting us an irreplaceable gift called FREEDOM. Father, today many families grieve for the loss of their loved one, who paid the ultimate price for this precious gift. May they know our gratitude and take comfort in the honor their family member is receiving today.Â
Forgive us, Lord, for when we take for granted the sacrifice of your Son. May we grasp the immeasurable blessing of Jesus daily. For it is by His blood, we can claim victory over the enemy of our soul. Freedom is only obtained through the price of another.  Thank you, Jesus, for your devotion to the Father and your love for humanity.   In Jesus, precious name- Amen

As I sit here on this historical Memorial Day, I’m reminded of the time my family visited Pearl Harbor. The memorial a memorable representation of that day. Soldiers performing on their typical duties, and no one suspected this devastating attack. Walking through the gallery of live images from that day took my breath away. The stories shared by the men and women give the history lesson flesh and bone exposing our humble gratitude for their sacrifice.
Freedom carries a hefty price tag. Honor is given to the soldier who fights for their Nation. What compels someone to risk their life for another? LOVE!!! It’s the love of people that enables us to stand and fight. It’s the love of people that drives us to serve. It’s the Love of God that offers us Freedom. Today as we remember the soldiers who fought to keep us safe, let’s also remember the One who paid it all. Thank you to the men and women who served our country. Thank you to the families who served along beside you as well. There is no greater sacrifice, the one you bares. May God, bless you and your family for the suffering you endured for our liberty.
