Talk to God FIRST

Prayer-

Heavenly Father, You are all-knowing. None of this has caught you by surprise. Schools are opening differently this year. Anxiety is at an all-time high. Lord, today we need your peace that surpasses our understanding. Please maintain the internet and zoom as hundreds log on for class.

Father, this year has already stretched us in a lot of ways. But I pray we remember that You can work all things out for our good, including these trying circumstances. Jesus, you are the best teacher. I pray to follow your practices and speak to others with grace and love.

Lord, may our leaders (school boards and Nation) seek your wisdom on all matters. God, may your will be done. Help us see your hand as we press on with endurance. Build our confidence in You. May we praise your name forever.

In Jesus name, Amen

Read:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4:6-7

Thank you for praying with us this morning as we prayed for our schools, students, teachers, staff, parents, and more. 6 am is early! So, thank you for hopping on Zoom for a minute as we prayed together.

There are so many unknowns factors that plague us today. No one has absolute answer to our circumstances, but one…Jesus!

My answer might be cliché. But if I consult others about situations before talking with Jesus, my emotions run high, influencing poor choices.

To find peace during uncertain times is best to discuss them with God FIRST. Situations may remain, but our lens can change.

I still struggle to bring all situations to God FIRST before seeking counsel. However, when I talk with God FIRST, He anchors my wild thoughts on His consistent character activating His peace to guard my heart and mind. God shifts my perspective on the situation, altering the way I discuss it with others.

So, my answer might be cliché, but it’s the only one that I can vouch provides peace.

Praise:

  1. Thank you so much for setting a time for us all to pray for our school, teachers, and students this morning. It was a joy to come before God in one accord. He is the answer to all, we need to encourage each other as we believe that and as we move through this new time to believe in Him. I will continue to pray for our schools each day. Asking peace that passes all understanding for each heart and life. Praise God from whom all blessings flow…..

  2. Bringing all things to God first is something I am still learning also. ( but getting better at!) I’ve been reading in the Old Testament about the various kings who inquired of the Lord first and those that didn’t. It went much better for those who did! Good lesson for me! Thank you for sharing God’s word!
